1 week post-op. My nose is upturned and very scary looking. Is post operation depression common? (photos)

Don’t worry about your nose being turned up!  This will “come down” as the swelling resides.  You’re very early into the healing stages.  Be patient!

I'm sorry you feel poorly about your nose, but please do not feel alone in the process. Many patients are concerned about the 'upturned effect' of the nose post-Rhinoplasty. The reason for the upturned look is primarily a result of the swelling you have on the inside of your nose. This will reside with time, and most of it should reside over the next several weeks.
The most important thing you can do is take care of your body. Avoid salty/spicy foods and hydrate every day. Do not put any objects inside your nose as it might insight an inflammation flare-up. You should also follow-up with your surgeon diligently, as requested. 
As you know, Rhinoplasty procedures do take at least one full year before the final result of the nose is visualized, and if you are not happy with your nose, you can always make a plan to revise it. 
But please keep your spirits up and don't stress! This is a natural process of Rhinoplasty and your nose needs some time and proper care to reside swelling.
