It was discovered I had pseudotumor after a rapid weight gain in my very early twenties. I am now 37, a healthy weight and have not seen a neurologist since my VP was put in place. I want to have a tummy tuck and breast augmentation, am I even a candidate for these procedures? I am not and have not been under the care of a neurologist in over a decade. I have never had an complications.

Answer: Can I have breast aug and TT with shunt in place? The best place to begin is a visit with a neurologist to discuss your desire for these procedures. If given surgical clearance you can then proceed to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation. Be sure to discuss your full medical history with your surgeon.
