I had 350cc under my muscle 4 weeks ago. My right side has settled a little and my left is still very high? Is this normal assymtry or no not at all?! Should I be worried?? I have been trying to get into contact with my surgeon and no response my next post op check up is in 2 weeks. I am so worried they will stay like this.
Answer: Breast Asymmetry I am sorry to hear about your concerns. Based on your photos, your breasts appear normal for this stage of healing. It can take several weeks to several months for the breasts to fully settle and it is not abnormal for them to settle at different rates. In my own practice, I advise patients to use massage techniques to help ensure that the implants drop. I would recommend contacting your surgeon to address these concerns as well, as he or she is most educated on your particular case. Best of luck with your recovery.

Answer: Asymmetry 4 weeks post BA Hello and thanks for your questions and photos. Breast implants can take up to 6 months to fully settle into position based on multiple factors. One of the primary factors for initial asymmetry is that whatever hand you use more (depending on whether you are right or left-handed) it can cause differences from the other side.My best advice is to continue to follow your surgeon's advice and attend your scheduled follow-ups, and let time be your ally. Best wishes during your recovery!Daniel Brown, MD, FACS Board Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Member American Society of Plastic Surgeons Castle Connolly Top Doc Real Self Top 500

Answer: Uneven Breasts Nothing to be worried about! You are early in the healing process and things will drop and settle on there own with time. When you return to see your PS discuss this with he or she and they may have massage directions for you. Best of luck!

Answer: BA results Dear axe21,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 4weeks post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
