Hi! I recently heard that there was a new procedure for mastopexy surgery with implants that would leave minimal scarring and NO scarring around the areola. I would like to hear more about this procedure. . .
Answer: Breast lift with implants Hello, every mastopexy technique results in scarring, by definition and without exception. There are ways to achieve some degree of nipple lift with implants alone, and some mastopexy techniques result in less scarring, but none of this is new or innovative. Vasileios Vasilakis, MD. Double board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon, Houston. TX.

Answer: Lift For women who do not have much sagging, radiofrequency treatment like ThermiTight can be done to tighten loose skin and help lift the nipple with tiny incisions.

Answer: Mastopexy I'd like to hear about the procedure also because I can guarantee it will do almost nothing. Some surgeons are using something called body tite to tighten the skin. I can't vouch for its use in breast lifts. There has yet to be a non surgical skin tightening device that delivers on the promise

Answer: Breast lift Dear Cynthia 888, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
