I'm 5'2, 145lbs, age 32, non-smoker, no kids (have copper IUD). I was once 300+lbs and wore a 46 i cup (never caused me back problems). I've maintained at 145-150lbs for 1 1/2 yrs now. I know I need multiple surgeries in stages and don't care about scars. But significantly most important to me is a Breast Lift WITH implants. For the first time in my life I have ZERO volume. I'm now a very flat 36D (smaller than at age 11). I want to be a 38DD with volume. Can I combine these two surgeries?
Answer: Breasts Congratulations on your weight loss. No, please do not do the breast lift with implants because of the amount of skin removal that is needed with the lift. It will be much safer for your nipples and healing to do the lift first, and then have the implants. You don't want dead nipples and wounds opening.

Answer: Getting a Breast Lift And Implants During One Procedure Thank you for your question regarding breast surgery after massive weight loss. In addition, in your specific case, we are talking about breast reconstruction after a significant loss of breast volume. Since you lost all of that weight, a lot of your breast has disappeared. To reestablish the volume in your breast, I would suggest a silicone breast implant. There are many different sizes of implants and during your consultation with your chosen board-certified plastic surgeon, you can discuss your wishes in terms of breast size. Then, once the implant is inserted during surgery, a breast lift or mastopexy will be performed. In your case, I would imagine that the breast lift or mastopexy will be performed and would entail an anchor or a T incision. During that anchor lift, the nipple-areolar complex is lifted into the proper position on your chest and the areola can be reduced. This procedure is usually performed at the same time on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. The procedure takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete. Please talk to a board-certified plastic surgeon when contemplating breast surgery and breast augmentation. Thank you so much for your question and I hope this helps. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Breast lift and implants Dear Dream2B, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to combine breast lift and implants. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Breast lift + implants Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You can get a breast lift with implants in one stage, however, in your situation, given the very low position of the nipples, you may want to consider a two-staged approach, which is generally safer.

Answer: Dear Dream2B Augmentation and lift (mastopexy) is a complex procedure. On the one hand, we aim to lift the nipples, areolas, and breast tissue and reduce skin excess. On the other, the implant's weight can strain the lifted tissue. In the presence of specific comorbidities, if the lift is substantial (it depends on the position of your nipples) or if the implant is too large, the risk of immediate and long term complications is higher. In those cases, augmentation and lift are often performed in 2 stages to minimise the risk of complications.Every case should be individualised. I would suggest that you discuss with your plastic surgeon, ask all the questions you have and weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of having one stage vs two-stage procedure. All the best
