Is $17k too expensive for a Breast Lift with Implants with Armpit Liposuction?

I went for a consultation recently with a board eligible (NOT yet certified) plastic surgeon who has been in our area for only a few months. She doesn't have much competition in the area. Her and her staff were great. But, she quoted a breast lift with small saline implants and minimal lipo to the armpits at $17k... I've heard of people driving only 45 minutes east and only paying around $5k for the same thing. Is that normal for someone not certified and with no portfolio?

17k is a very high charge for a breast lift and axillary liposuction. In Manhatten that might be approperate but I have no idea why your surgeon is charging that much. 5k sounds about right or maybe even a little low, every situation is a bit different. I would recommend you get other in person consultations. Good luck.

the cost of surgery depends on a lot of factors (type of surgery, number of treated areas, anesthesia fee, surgeon, facility fee, city, etc.). It would be the best to visit or call plastic surgery offices and ask for a price.

Prices are usually higher for the breast augmentation and lift and liposuction, especially including the facility fee and anesthesia.  However, go get another consultation and a new price to see.
