Yes, I would wait until after Rhinoplasty to have lip augmentation. Based on a limited photo- you appear to be a great candidate for Reduction Rhinoplasty preferably through a closed technique .
Hi @DA_. This is an excellent question. I would wait at least 6 weeks after a rhinoplasty to get lip fillers because of swelling. Best of luck to you!
Dear DD__,Thank you for your question. I would wait at least 6 weeks before getting lip fillers after a rhinoplasty. This is due to swelling. If you are having concerns, I suggest following up with your board certified plastic surgeon. Hopefully this was helpful and best of luck to you!
The biggest complaint that most people have with lip injections is discomfort. Although you may have swelling of your lip following rhinoplasty, if you have your lips injected in the operating room prior to the start of the rhinoplasty a skilled injector will be able to create an attractive lip for you. The rhinoplasty that you then have performed will not alter the final appearance of your lip and it will all be done while you are under anesthesia.
Hello!Thank you for your picture and question!Based on the pictures you have submitted It does appear that you would be a great candidate for a Closed Scarless Rhinoplasty. I would suggest getting your lips done either before or after your rhinoplasty, it would not interfere with your rhinoplasty. A closed rhinoplasty procedure is the best option for someone who is looking for a refinement of the nose. Based on your photographs it appears you have a bulbous tip and drooping tip with thick nasal skin. I recommend going to a Plastic Surgeon that specializes in closed scarless rhinoplasty (preferred by actresses and celebrities) because there is no risk of external scarring and much less healing and recovery time. Closed rhinoplasty enables you to have flash recovery with very minimal bruising if at all. You will only have to wear a cast for 5-7 days, no one will know you had anything done. All the incisions are made from inside the nose. The goal is to finesse and enhance the nose without drastic change. It still looks like it is your nose just more refined without looking fake. Meaningful refinement is the key! All the same surgical maneuvers your nose requires can be performed with a skilled closed scarless surgeon. There is no hard and fast rule on this. If the lips were injected before the rhinoplasty, I would want the initial lip swelling to subside before the rhinoplasty is done, but swelling from the injection should be gone within a week or two.If done the other way around (rhinoplasty first), the swelling from the rhinoplasty may distort the upper lip for as much as six to twelve weeks, so it would be better to wait that long until having the lips done. Every circumstance is different, but most plastic surgeons would probably recommend performing lip injections once appropriately healed after rhinoplasty. Your rhinoplasty surgeon can give you an estimated wait time. Read more about rhinoplasty below.potomacplasticsurgery.com/blog/category/rhinoplasty/Best,Dr. Chaboki
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well...i prefer get injection in your 1 week before surgery , and after get a rhinoplasty , its recommended if you ask you plastic surgeon about the theme.
You may want to wait until you are healed from your rhinoplasty surgery before getting lip injections. As rhinoplasty may cause swelling in the lip area as well sometimes, it might be better to have it done when everything is more settled. Also you may want the adjustment to be made in accordance with your new facial proportions.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey
Thank you for your question. I would highly recommend waiting until after the rhinoplasty before you have any lip injections. Rhinoplasty will alter the appearance of the lips for quite some time and can give the injector a false appearance.
This will depend on your desired results. I would recommend starting with a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty surgery to discuss if rhinoplasty can address your concerns. I would recommend writing down the following questions before s...
It's only natural that you have swelling. I tell my patients to use those after a full year of recovery as the strips traumatize the skin and the tissues. There is nothing we can do now. Please don't use them again and get in touch with your surgeon. Hope this helps! Best, S.Emre Üregen,MD
Do you have splints in your nose with breathing holes? If so, keeping your nasal cavities moist with nasal saline sprays will prevent blood and mucous from drying and obstructing your nasal airway. Sometimes if patients have clogged nasal splits I'll have them come in to suction their nasal...
