Thank you for the pictures as it definitely helps to illustrate your concern.  The fact that it comes and goes is somewhat odd but obviously the main concern for bulging after a tummy tuck is perhaps a stitch has broken and you are now having an area of laxity.  At 10 months after surgery, you should be completely healed.  I would recommend following up with your original surgeon so that you can be examined to determine the cause and possible solution.  Best of luck!

Either one of two things are most likely the cause.  First, it could be remaining fat around the belly button (The so called "Donut" of fat).  Secondly, the sutures that repaired the rectus diastasis (six-pack muscle separation) could of loosened or given way.  A physical examination by your surgeon of the area should be able to determine which it is!
