Is it pointless to get a nose job at age 35?

No age is “too old” to get a cosmetic procedure,
including a nose job, as long as you are in good physical and mental health,
you may benefit greatly from a rhinoplasty. Many patients come to me later in
life, deciding to change the look of their nose after living their entire lives
unhappy with their appearance. There is a right time your life for having
rhinoplasty most patients consider surgery for more than 10years before going
through with surgery and many others consider the surgery for longer than this.
The best time is when you feel comfortable with your decision, informed about
the process and comfortable with your surgeon to take you through the journey. 

As long as you have something that can be fixed and you are healthy, you can undergo rhinoplasty. A patient can be 16 or 60 - if they want to improve their appearance, it is usually worth it to have the surgery done. Be sure to see a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty for consultation.

However, by the age of 35 you have had plenty of time to think about it, and decide exactly what it is about your nose you want correcting. Without pictures or better an in-office evaluation, it is impossible to make a recommendation. However, regarding your age, it is never too late for a rhinoplasty as long as one is a candidate for general anesthesia. Age 35 is definitely not too old (or too young). If your nose bothers you at 35 years old then it is definitely not pointless to have a rhinoplasty. We see patients as young at 16 and as old as the 60s and 70s for rhinoplasty. The main question is not your age but how much the appearance of your nose troubles you. If you shy away from mirrors and photos because of the appearance of your nose then you should investigate further and see if rhinoplasty can realistically achieve your goals. I have performed rhinoplasties on patients into their 70's. These patients had nasal trauma but elected to get "more" done than simply straightening their crooked noses and septums. If it will make you feel better about your face, by all means look into rhinoplasty. The shape and position of your forehead can be evaluated at the time of your rhinoplasty consultations.

First of all, being 35 years of age will not preclude you from undergoing rhinoplasty, as many patients either muster up the courage or the financial means during these years.  The description you have mentioned leaves several questions, most of which can only be answered by looking at appropriate frontal and profile views (by photos or examination).  Often, the point between the eyes that rhinoplasty surgeons term the "radix" can often times be too depressed, making the brow appear very prominent.  There is no doubt that the appropriate rhinoplasty for your individual nose will improve its appearance.  I recommend seeking out a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon who will properly examine you, provide you with a "simulation" of what your nose would look like after surgery, and tailor a surgical plan to meet your needs.  Best wishes!
