What can be done if Botox is placed in the wrong area? Will getting more Botox to lift my brows work after this? (Photo)

Botox placement is key to great results.  However if too much is placed or incorrect areas than you can have side effects.  It's best to follow up with your provider.

Factors that contribute to the result of Botox or ant botulinum toxin include location of injections AND dosing.  Every patient is unique, and guidelines are just that, a recommended range of dosing.  With that being said, if the Botox injected was exactly the same dosing and the location was identical you should get the same outcome.  You mentioned that the first injection was done February 2 and the next was done at the end of April. Perhaps there was still some residual effect of the first injection when you had the second done.  I would suggest returning to the injector to see if there are any variables with each injection.  

Botox results last 3-4 months in new areas of treatments. Results can be softened with venus legacy and/or thermage treatments. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi Alison.I'm curious to find out if you went to the same injector? Your injector would have accesss to what was done when you got your brow lift. If you went to a new place that might explain this....Yes, I believe having the appropriate amounts of Botox in the right location for a brow lift will help as long as the frontalis muscle was not totally relaxed with the forehead injections. The frontalis is the only muscle capable of raising the eyebrows and an experienced injector should know that fact. A brow lift is performed when the muscles pulling your brows relax and the frontalis can win that tug of war and pull the brows up. Always go to certified injectors and don't price shop to avoid having these issues!Best wishes, Dr. AldoRealself Top 100 Plastic Surgeon

It's very important to wait at least 10 to 14 days for full effect of your Botox treatment. A lot can change in this time frame and no longer be a concern. If you do not feel that you have achieved the desired effect after that time has passed, please contact your provider and voice your concerns. Best of luck.

3 days is really not enough to determine what the final look will be. wait a total of 10 days and then if you are not happy with the results contact your doctor and see what can be done

Although it is very soon, the lowering of the eyebrows is already apparent. Certain parts of the muscles around the eyebrows can be injected to compensate for the drooping effect. These are the muscles that normally pull the eyebrows down when used. After injecting them, they release their tension and as a result the eyebrows will rise.

You probably experiencing the effect of Botox injection near the eyebrows. In some cases, this can lead to the spread of Botox into the upper eyelids area and cause heaviness. This can be minimized by injecting Botox 1.5cm or higher from the ridge of the eyebrows. Otherwise, I would allow it some time and effect will diminish over the next few days.
