I just had Botox injected in my forehead 3 days ago. Are the indentations in my forehead permanent?

I had a face mask on for part of today and after I removed it I noticed an indentation from where the mask was sitting on my forehead. It's been a few hours and it's still there. Is this going to last for then the next few months or will it go away?

This is difficult to answer without pictures. It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Venus legacy can help soften results. If you're concerned, I recommend following up with your injector. Best, Dr. Emer

Botox relaxes muscles and would not cause "indents" however it is best to follow up with your injector if you are concerned.

in some cases there might be some swelling after the Botox injections. It usually isn't that severe and it resolves within a few days or weeks.

Botox will not cause you have to have 'dents' or other permanent irregularities in your forehead. Unless something else (skin condition) is going on- it's not caused by the botox as long as the Botox was constituted in the right solution etc.

Thank you for your question. BOTOX® should not create permanent indentations in the skin. It’s possible that the indentation is resulted from swelling in the surrounding area and will fade within the following few days or week. Any effects from the BOTOX® will also eventually wear off after about 4 months, so if you’re unhappy with your results, rest easy knowing that they aren’t permanent. Good luck!

Hello, I hope by now it has improved and this response is moot - but Botox should not give an indentation anywhere, and if there is surrounding swelling or bruising it should resolve over a period of a few days. If there is still concern return to the provider who administered the botox to discuss further.

Hello annabelleorme,Thank you for your question although photos depicting what your have described would be helpful but not a substitute for an in person evaluation with your injector. Botox causing "dents" not likely however any changes noted from Botox will go away as it wears off in 3-4 months. See your injector to discuss further.
