I have blepharitis affecting both eyes and my left is worse due to the left eyelid previously being injured and making the unevenness even more noticeable. I am considering a blepharoplasty to even them out and wanted some opinions.

Answer: You have minimal left upper eyelid ptosis with a similarly small compensatory eyebrow elevation. Blepharoplasty is a generally practiced as a subtractive surgery that removes skin, muscle, and fat. It will wreck your wonderful youthful appearance without fixing your left upper eyelid ptosis. You would theoretically benefit from ptosis surgery. I say theoretically because the amount of ptosis you have is so small, the vast majority of ptosis surgeons will not be comfortable offering you surgery because you need a surgery that is far beyond their ability to accurately deliver the result you need, but your analysis is correct. I do specialize in correctly small amounts of ptosis. Please understand that fixing a small amount of ptosis is far more complicated than fixing a larger amount of ptosis. Your eyes can be your best feature. When the ptosis is repaired, the left eyebrow will relax down to match the other side.

Answer: Corrective eyelid surgery Based on presented photos, I do not see much need for surgical correction. Evaluation by an ophthalmologist would help to see whether any surgical solution would improve your blepharitis. Every new surgery carries new risks!
