You need to follow your doctor's advice and keep with the treatment plan.Folliculitis is one of the many things that can happen after surgery.As long as your doctor is involved in the treatment and is following your progress, you should be fine.

hi Surfdude,Infection and folliculitis can occur pos transplant. You are correct that there is some unknowns as to whether this may or may not affect graft survival but you are taking the right steps. Continuing close follow up with your physician is important. Thanks for posting. 

This can happen as infections happen with any procedure. However, it is rare.  It can affect results and you should maintain close follow up.

If the infection was treated promptly, the grafts will probably grow out well.  Be sure that the infection does not return and keep up the washing routine as define in the web reference below.
