Since yesterday, 7th night, I started sleeping in normal position. Will it lead to grafts falling down? I have a ton of scabs (more in recipient area) as I really have been super cautious so as to avoid heavy contact. What will be the consequences if all my scabs didn't fall off by day 10-15? I've heard that'll prevent transplanted grafts from falling. is that true?
Answer: You don't have to worry. Other doctors may have different opinions, but after 7 days the grafts are anchored in and you really can't ruin it. In the last 23 years we've been in practice, we've seen a wide spectrum of scabs after surgery. Scabs and sleeping positions is not really a huge factor in hair growth after surgery. As long as the surgery itself was done properly by competent doctors and staff, the hairs will grow.

Answer: Sleeping position after a hair transplant Whatever position you sleep in, 'normal' or not, if the grafted hairs are rubbed they are likely to fall out.At 7 days post procedure this should be OK as the stem cells responsible for the growth of a new follicle should have integrated into the surrounding dermis. Don't worry if all the transplanted hairs fall out - you should see new hairs growing in 3-4 months.

Answer: Try to avoid applying pressure to the graft area Hello, congratulations on your procedure. I am not sure what you mean by "sleeping in a normal position" but for the next week you should try to avoid applying direct pressure to the grafted area. We do send our NeoGraft patients home with special products to treat the scalp and help with scabbing after the procedure. Good luck to you!

Answer: 7 days post-op At 7 days post-op you can sleep in whatever position is the most comfortable for you. It is normal and expected for the transplanted hairs to fall out after 2-3 weeks. Brand new hairs will start to grow at 3-4 months. It is best to follow all of your post-op instructions and keep the area clean following your hair transplant procedure.

Answer: Post op care by now you can sleep in normal position. Your doctor should have provided a post op care for cleaning the scabs and the donor area. The first week you need to be careful when washing but by now you can be a bit aggressive and wash normally. If you are afraid to touch the remaining scabs you need to visit your doctor to clean the scans for you.
