I’m 39 years old and, over the last couple of years, lost about 60 pounds. I was scheduled for a second round BBL — partially to remove a fat pocket left behind during my first round — when a couple of weeks out, my surgeon told me that he didn’t think that procedure was going to give me the results I wanted and suggested adding a tummy tuck. I’m now days away from the surgery and am feeling serious anxiety about the surgery, recovery and scarring. Am I doing the right thing?
Answer: Abdomen You will get your best results with a full tummy tuck because of the excess skin. However, I would suggest not doing it the same time as the BBL for you will have more difficulty sleeping and getting out of bed.

Answer: Tummy Tuck & BBL It is possible to combine a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) with a tummy tuck procedure, and this combination surgery is becoming increasingly popular. A BBL involves using liposuction to remove fat from other areas of the body, such as the hips, back, and thighs, and transferring it to the buttocks to enhance their shape and size. A tummy tuck procedure involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightening the abdominal muscles. The combination of BBL and tummy tuck can help to contour the waistline, enhance the buttocks, and create a more balanced overall appearance. In your case, I would suggest combining the tummy tuck and the BBL. If you do not want to combine the tummy tuck with the BBL, then stage the procedure by having abdominal liposuction and BBL performed first, then at a later date, undergo a tummy tuck. However, it is important to note that combining these two procedures can increase the complexity and duration of the surgery, as well as the risk of complications. Recovery from this combined procedure may also be more prolonged and require more careful attention to the postoperative instructions. It is crucial to discuss the potential risks and benefits of combining a BBL with a tummy tuck with your plastic surgeon, and they will help determine if you are a good candidate for the combination surgery based on your individual health status, anatomy, and aesthetic goals. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Tummy tuck vs Liposuction Thank you for your question and congratulations on the weight loss. Looking at the photos you have provided I would agree that you are a better candidate for a tummy tuck procedure. This will allow your Surgeon to tighten up the abdominal wall muscle, remove the extra skin and get you as flat as one can. It is a bigger surgery and requires some additional down time but it is a very safe procedure. I would suggest speaking with your Surgeon ahead of surgery to answer and of your questions and to help ease your concerns. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Tummy tuck may be suitable You appear to have loose skin in your midsection, so a tummy tuck would most likely be a more suitable option for you. During your tummy tuck, fat can be removed and transferred for the BBL.

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear MsNewBootyAfterBBL, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
