Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you an answer without an examination or at least photos. When we refer to hooding, we are usually talking about the eyelid skin overlapping and drooping down. I suspect this is not what you are referring to, but don't want to make assumptions. In regard to actual hooding, no, reduction of the prominence of your brow would not improve eyelid hooding. It may improve your appearance if you have an especially prominent brow and this is a procedure that aesthetic facial specialists perform not infrequently. It can be performed via an open approach or in select patients, an endoscopic approach. Regardless, I'd recommend you consult with a respected surgeon close to you who has experience with this and can give you honest advice. All the best!
The results are highly unpredictable and very difficult to repair when it does not go well. It does not make hooding better. So I would caution you regarding this procedure and ultimately anyone who might offer it to you. Consider posting photographs for a more specific answer.
No brow bone shaving is very rarely done. The hooding istypically caused by droopiness of the soft tissue, not the bone.
It would be best to post some photos. Brow bone shaving will not address hooded eyelids although it can feminise the brow and make it less "cave man like".
Brow bone reduction will not fix hooded eyes, that would require a separate upper eyelid procedure. But both brow bone reduction and upper blepharoplasty can be performed at the same time.
