You don't appear to have festoons but you do have malar mounds and nasojugal grooves (tear troughs). The best thing to treat this in your age group is a filler in the nasojugal groove. This could be an HA filler like Restylane or Juvederm or your own fat. Book a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon near you to see what your best option will be. Hope that helps!
Thank you for posting your pictures. The line you are seeing dividing your lower lid from your cheek is known as the naso-jugal groove. This line gets accentuated when the malar fat pad descends secondary to gravity pulling forces and lack of structural support. The fact that your canthal tilt is neutral or slightly negative (lateral corner of your eye is slightly lower), tells me that your cheek structure has less support and you are prone to see early changes in this area due to pulling gravitational forces. Fillers are a great way to create a lift and restructure the cheeks and will help eliminating the naso-jugal groove. Radiesses and Voluma XC are temporary options (no surgery required), but if you like the results and would like more permanent results, then you can consider fat grafting. Hope this was of some help. Good Luck!
You do not have festoons but a combination of malar mounds with tear trough formation (naso jugal groove). Subtle fat injections or filler can be used but you need to be careful in this region and you need to consult with a PS with experience in treating this.
I am sorry that you have this problem. Fortunately, you do not have festoons whichare bags under the lower eyelids that are caused by swelling that gets trappedby a ligament that extends from the bone to the skin under the eye. Your problem is more structural in nature andis called a nasojugal groove. Whilenormal, your groove is slightly deeper than many and as a result causes ashadow which makes it look even worse. Thiscan be filled and there are a number of fillers that will work to improve thisgroove. I prefer the long term fillerBellafill (it used to called Artefill) since it can be placed quite shallow andtherefore the result will be better and longer lasting. Have added a video about fillers for you here as well as aweb link so that you will have more information.I hope that helps.Best regards.
It sounds like your tearing is from multiple causes. If one of them is from lower eyelid laxity, then tightening the lower eyelids (through canthoplasty) can improve the tear pump function and hopefully improve the tearing.
Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and...
It is difficult from the pictures to tell exactly how loose your lower eyelid is, but if, after examination, by a specialist, you want it fixed, it can be closed and tightened by a procedure called a canthoplasty. An ex[experienced Plastic Surgeon or Ophthalmologist should be able to do...
