Beard Transplant: Can I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser around face near beard (not on it) and eventually on it when shaved?

You don' t need special cleaners after a beard hair transplant. If you do, something is wrong.   Many doctors may have their own opinions but try to follow your own doctor's recommendation.  If your surgery is not a success your doctor can easily say you didn't follow instructions.

Any gentle cleanser is fine.  As Dr. Pak said, don't do anything to give your doc a reason to blame potentially poor results on you (not saying that this would happen, but I've seen it before).  Good luck!

Following the procedure, one can expect to have small crusts formed on the grafted area. A post operative cleaning regiment should be given to the client to help dissolve the scabs. The cleaning should start the next day. These crusts will flake off by 7-10 days after the surgery. The client can usually return to normal activity and normal washing in about two weeks. The transplanted hair growing from the scalp may initially shed, however the roots will remain and new hair will start to grow in after three months. Depending on each hair intrinsic growth cycle , it may take up to 18 months for all the hair to grow in.  Over all you need to follow your doctors cleaning and are instructions.

Once the crusts are all off and you have gone 3 weeks, this this is an ok treatment but first clear it with your doctor.
