Beard Transplant. Best excuses when someone notices beard out of no where when I come back to work?

I'm about to do a beard transplant. Friends have noticed when I grow my facial hair that I can only grow some on my chin and moustache, but that's it. I'm going to be off work for next 2 weeks to recover from the scabs I get, but when I'm back I'm going to have the beard and they will for sure take notice What's the best lie I could say in a situation where someone is like, "wow I didn't know you could grow a full beard.." "you're asian, how'd you grow a beard all of a sudden out of no where?"

There will be some scabbing at the site of the transplanted follicles.  A story where you cut yourself shaving will make you look like a butcher.  "A rash" will send your coworkers running.  Depending on when you feel comfortable  returning to work and how thick your surrounding beard is are different factors for everyone.

First, it's not like you're going to look like a member of duck dynasty all of a sudden. The transplanted hairs will actually shed after a month. Just keep it clipped short for a few months -- throw them off the scent. Then after about 6 months, let it go. It will be gradual enough that few will notice. Good luck!

Congratulations on getting a beard transplant in advance.  Hopefully the results are so natural and the people you work with are so respectful that this concern does not become a reality.  As a rule, I do not encourage my patients to lie. Often, if you address your situation with humor, it defuses any uncomfortable questioning.

I can not advise you on any story you can make up. Why not be honest if someone notices. Prrobably, within 2 weeks after the beard transplant if there is no redness, no one will probably pick it up
