Do PDO threads fatten the face/add volume/make it puffy?

I recently got 7 pdo threads on each side of my face to reduce my nasiolabial folds and for minor lifting. I’ve also have Botox injected into masseter to slim my face two months ago. After I got the PDO threads I notice my face is a little puffier, and where the Botox defined my face a bit, the PDO threads seem to negate that effect. I thought PDO threads are for lifting, but do they also add volume??? If that’s the case I would’ve never gotten them :( my face looks less defined!

In general, threads should have a slimming effect on the face by pulling up the skin and creating a more V shape to the face.  They add a small amount of volume, but patients generally do not look volumized from it.  Perhaps the technique or position of the threads is incorrect.

Hello, and thank you for the question.  Threadlifts are designed to slim the face and lift areas that are showing signs of aging, which as the jowls.  They should not cause puffiness.
