With the economy in a downturn, and a major credit crunch going on right now, how are people paying for cosmetic surgery procedures like facelift?
Answer: Facelift: Don't make Compromises The majority of patients currently asking for Facelifts in my practice still pay cash. A small minority use programs like Care Credit. Despite the nature of some infomercials offering quick fixes, the majority of Facelifts will cost in the neighborhood of 10k (give or take a few thousand depending on the area). This statement applies to Facelifts performed by Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeons or Plastic Surgeons who consistently obtain great, long lasting results. The reason for this is that certain costs of doing business are fixed like anesthesia, staffing, facility, and supplies. Therefore, as other posters have noted, if you can't afford a Facelift right now, wait until finances improve and do it right. Or, if you are willing and able to finance the procedure and understand the terms of your financing, go to a local Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeons or Plastic Surgeon with a great local reputation.

Answer: The Estimated Cost of a Facelift & Payment Methods Price of a #Facelift is always a concern when deciding whether or not to have a cosmetic procedure. Patients’ needs and goals vary, so there is no fixed price for a facelift. These are the contributing factors to the cost of a facelift:-Surgeon’s fee-Facility fee-Medication cost-Anesthesia feeEstimated fees may also be found here on Real Self, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery website. However, many payments plans exist for cosmetic procedures. Ask your surgeon's office about finance programs and lenders they may recommend as well as personal loans available through finanical institutions. It is important to choose a highly skilled and experienced surgeon to match your #facelift goals and skin type with the appropriate surgical techniques.

Answer: How Are People Paying for a Facelift? Thank you for the question. In our practice, we use Care Credit as well as other companies; they have been used by our patients with no problems. They do have different rates so please make sure you get all of the information you need prior to signing up with any financing company. Generally speaking, it is always in patients' best interests to achieve a certain degree of financial stability prior to undergoing elective surgery of any type. Patients should also keep in mind that additional surgery may be necessary in the short or long term, following the primary procedure that is being performed; this additional surgery may be associated out-of-pocket expenses. Again, best to achieve a physical, emotional, psychosocial, and financial “stable state” prior to considering elective plastic surgery. Best wishes.

Answer: Paying for a facelift The expense for a facelift surgery is often saved for in advance. That being said, many people choose to finance their surgery with either a credit card, or finance company, or a second mortgage. The options need to make sense for you.
