Hi there , I'm going for a revision tummy tuck in September that will extend around do a LBL or circumferential tummy tuck . I really don't like do bra roll area and on side of the bra area as well . My question is , will doing the LBL improve this slightly due to removing skin for lower back . Are there any other options to fix this as I don't want an upper bra line lift after I'm fully recovered. Thanks Lisa
Answer: Bra line not helped by LBL. A lower body left can markedly improve your waist, ptosis of the buttocks and some of the lower back excess skin, the upper back rolls above the bra line are too far away from the incision to be affected to any great extent. You may notice some minimal improvement, but I would not count on a great improvement from this. Best wishes.

Answer: Improvement in “bra roll” after Lower Body Lift Thank you for your query! I usually recommend a bra line lift for “bra rolls” but seeing your photos, I feel that you can get reasonable improvement with a lower body lift and a little liposuction. Please discuss this with your Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Circumferential body lift A circumferential body lift will essentially have no impact on the bra line area. If you are not wanting a bra line lift you can consider liposuction to improve the contour of that area. Speak with your surgeon to learn more about your options.

Answer: Lower body lift Dear wiss_20, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. There is a chance that lower body lift will slightly improve your problematic areas. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Addressing Bra Fat in Conjunction with Lower Body Lift Thank you for your question about whether a Lower Body Lift (LBL) can improve bra fat by removing skin from the lower back. The short answer is no. During a properly executed 360 circumferential lower body lift, the incision is made across the top of the buttocks, and the buttocks are lifted upward. The procedure does not involve pulling down the back, so it won't directly affect the bra fat regio To address the bra strap region, you have three options. First, you can consider liposuction for this area, and the skin may recoil naturally. Alternatively, there are two types of incision-based procedures: Vertical Torsoplasty: This entails an incision made from the armpit down the side of the chest. The length of the incision can vary, going up to the top of the bra or even below it, depending on the extent of excess skin. Horizontal Torsoplasty (Bra Strap Lift): Involves an incision made across the back, and a butterfly-shaped area of skin and fat is removed from the back. In your case, I would recommend considering either direct liposuction or the vertical torsoplasty. Both of these options can be performed simultaneously with your lower body lift. I hope this response clarifies your options for addressing the bra fat area in conjunction with a lower body lift—best of luck with your surgical decisions. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen
