Hi everyone, I just did a FUE 7200 hair implanted: 2 weeks ago : I worry that my hair will look very thin and not enough Will I have more density after 3 months ? Many thanks for your answers
Answer: 7000 Hair Transplant...NOT Its very unlikely that you had 7,000 hairs transplanted. Usually its counted by grafts that are transplanted, and 1 graft typically has between 1-4 hairs. I'd highly recommend patients to use common sense when given these outrageous and unreal graft counts. Although my answer isn't politically correct, Im always confused how patients believe in these types of numbers. You will likely have to wait about 12 months for full results, however being told you had 7,000 hairs transplanted puts up such a red flag that its likely after 12 months you will have minimal results. Be patient, see how you're results are, and if you are unhappy do the right research before a 2nd hair transplant.

Answer: 2 weeks post op 2 weeks is not a good time period to expect the hair growth. in order to see some good results you have to wait at least 5-6 months. The hair can shed, and after the 3rd month permanent hair will grow.

Answer: After transplant It typically takes 6 to 8 months before 50% or so of a transplant result can be seen. 7000 grafts? that seems awfully high as most of my scalp FUE procedures are around 2000 to 2400 grafts maximum, unless we are using body hairs in which case we can do more than 3000 grafts.

Answer: Grafts versus hairs You may be correct that for optimal improvement you do not have enough coverage to achieve the results you are seeking. Hair restoration is a slow process and takes months to appreciate full benefit of a transplant. Some things you may want to consider to support the growth is ACell, PRP, and even a newer product called AmnioFix. These therapies are injected directly into the scalp and bolster follicle recovery and health. The follicle is the structure within the scalp that actually grows the hair. Some follicles grow 1, while others can grow as many as 4. As the follicle declines it will grow smaller hairs for a shorter period of time (a process called miniaturization) and eventually stop. Augmenting your surgery may give you a more robust response. I encourage you to follow up with your provider as you heal and remain open to adding more coverage in the future if you want more coverage.
