Question

I'm interested in getting a breast lift but I don't want my nipples touched in the procedure, I like the way my nipples look now. Is it possible to get a breast lift that removes the skin above the nipple, on the chest? I know that the scar will be extemely visable, but I'm ok with that, I have a scar there already from a cyst removal. I have large breast and stretchy skin, so they sag quite a bit. I like the shape , fall, and movement, when they are lifted from the top when I use boob tape and I don't like the way other lifts look when they are done with the donut or anchor method. I have a lot more reasons for wanting it done this way, like downtime and recovery, as well.

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

Dear Witty,
 i  I don't think so.  I don't think any plastic surgeon would be willing to put a large scar like that in the upper part of a woman's chest.
  There have been some techniques described that suspend the breast upward with internal suspension sutures and I think I actually tried that many years ago. Here is an article on doing an internal breast lift by splitting the upper part of the pectoralis and suturing the gland up to it.  This lifts the whole breast and nipple without any external scar.  The authors of this article added an implant, which in my opinion, looked terrible,  but if you have adequate breast volume and are satisfied with it, you could omit the implant and just have the internal lift.  Whoever does this has to be quite skilled and probably use an endoscope as well, as it is easy to get under the second rib in that area and get a pneumothorax.
