Breast feeding deflated my breasts - would I be a good candidate for a breast lift and fat transfer? (Photos)

I think you'd do great with a breast lift. I don't think fat transfer would be of benefit and might even be harmful.

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

Hello,It looks like you be a candidate for a lift and a fat transfer to the breasts. You need enough fat to liposuction and harvest from but if you are not looking to have large breasts then it seems fat transfer would be a great option for you. Best of luck,Dr. Luck

You are an excellent candidate for a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

If you get a breast lift you will likely need volume added in the form of an implant or fat transfer. Fat transfer will only provide slight enlargement however

Thank you for your pictures and questions. I think you would be a better candidate for a lift with auto-augmentation. This is for patients like you with some breast tissue who want to avoid an implant. You use the redundant tissue in the lower pole of the breast and move it up on the chest wall to form a sort of "implant" made of your own tissue and then the rest of the breast tissue can be shaped around that. This maximizes maintaining your own tissue while giving the appearance and support of an underlying implant. This can also be complimented with additional fat grafting for upper pole fullness or additional cleavage fullness if desired. I have included a link with more information. Best of luck!

In my experience, fat transfer is a nice alternative to implants to restore fullness after pregnancy and breast feeding. It can be combined with breast lift for best results.

Fat is usually obtained via liposuction and easily transferred, our patients have good retention.

An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

Breast lifting combined with fat grafting can be a reasonable alternative for patients who are hoping to avoid implants, however I think that it is important for surgeons to not over-promise what is possible with fat grafting. Fat grafting will never be a 1:1 substitution for implants, as resorption can be variable. It will also give a less structured/full upper pole. It is best for patients who want modest size changes (less than 1 cup size), are looking for a natural look, and are OK with more subtle changes in the upper pole. A small volume implant could also be considered to pair with a breast lift. If implants are selected appropriately, a lower projecting implant can be used that will give subtle changes to overall volume but can improve upper pole fulness more than is possible with fat grafting.
