PRP with gun or manual injections? Which one is better?

This will depend on the practitioners preference, but I recommend injections. Prp is effective, but I have a very specific protocol, every 3-4 weeks for 6 months with prp therapy. I also add in progesterone to speed the healing process.  After that the injections are tailored down. In  my opinion, injections for PRP should be done subdermally using the subdermal depo injection technique. Since the depth of the injections varies in each part of the scalp, a gun can only deliver one depth and is therefore inadequate. Find a PRP expert. Ask to see photos.

I believe Manual PRP is better because the depth is more controlled allowing me to bathe my patient's follicles in growth factors. That being said, the type of PRP is probably more important than the injection technique. Every system to make PRP is quite different. Best of luck!

I prefer manually injecting PRP to the scalp. It will depend on the comfort level of the injector if he or she uses a gun to inject PRP.

A practitioner that injects manually is able to provide a better treatment because scalp depth can be variable and therefore adjustments must be made during the procedure to inject at the correct level to achieve maximum results.  Also, the treatment area should be a collaborative discussion between you and the practitioner.
