I'm suffering major hair loss following weight loss journey. Is PRP a good treatment option in conjunction with anti androgen medications and rogaine or does a disorder such as PCOS not work well with PRP hair treatments?

In my opinion, PCOS responds well to PRP. However, it seems that you may have multifactorial hair loss including telogen effluvium, PCOS  and other diagnosis. A consultation to determine the etiology of your hair loss with a hair loss expert is suggested. You may need blood tests. Combination treatment may be necessary.

Although PRP will help, your main focus should be treating the PCOS which causes increase in male hormones which causes hair loss. Treating with androgen blockers with spironolactone and finasteride should be the main stay of treatment .

PRP could be an option. However, in the setting of PCOS, options such as minoxidil, oral contraceptives and anti-androgens appear far superior. I'd need to see your scalp, blood tests and know more of your story to rule out other causes that could be present to. Be sure to see an expert.
