Can sexual foreplay cause complications after breast implants?

I was entertained reading the answers below.  Here's the bottom line: in the studies that have produced the lowest hematoma and capsular contracture rates, patients were told they could have sex the night of surgery. I've allowed patients to have sex the night of breast augmentation for years and there has never been an association between it and  bleeding, and tabulated contracture rates rival the best reported data in the literature.Still, listen to what your surgeon said.  Never follow the advice of a friend or another doctor.  Always do what your doctor told you to do.

Each surgeon has their own recommendations for post operative instructions. I recommend patients refrain from sexual activity for 4 weeks to allow the implants to heal. Ask your chosen surgeon Regards, 

Hi Kelly.001,Thanks for your questions. Don't worry! You likely did not damage anything at all. Being a bit sore after physical activity of any sort after breast augmentation is not unusual at all.  For a general timeline of when you can return to normal activity safely, I typically allow my breast augmentation patients to begin light, lower body exercise at 2 weeks after their procedure and then begin to add upper body exercises to their work out a week after that. If you continue to have concerns, please call and follow up with your plastic surgeon for an exam. Most likely this is just completely normal soreness after your breast augmentation.Best wishes during your continued recovery!
