The aging process continues, despite anyone's effort in having a facelift or a nonsurgical tightening procedure, such as ThermiTight. Initial contraction of the connective tissue layer, called the SMAS, and the collagen production that occurs for more than six months after the procedure, continue to fight against this aging process and places the patient behind on the aging curve so they look younger than if they hadn't had the procedure when examined many years after the ThermiTight was done. I usually say, that the results can't be permanent as we all continue to age, and certainly if someone smokes, and gets unprotected sun exposure, the benefit doesn't last as long, but if there are two twins, one who has ThermiTight, and the other doesn't, in ten years, the one that had ThermiTight mayl ook a couple of years younger than the one who didn't.
