My left ear sticks out the slightest bit more than my left ear, and I was wondering if the adjustment of only one ear makes a difference when calculating the cost of an otoplasty.

Answer: Otoplasty of only one ear? Thank you for your question. Yes, you can have an otoplasty of one ear and this is done quite often. An otoplasty is a procedure which uses precise sutures, or stitches, to reshape the cartilage of the ear. At the same time the ear can be "pinned back" closer to the head. The cost of surgery is usually reduced when we are only operating on one earI would consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who has experience with otoplasty. Here you will have a full evaluation and be able to discuss your goals for surgery.I hope that this helps!David Gilpin

Answer: One Sided Otoplasty Thank you for your picture and question. As much as we would like to think it, we are not symmetric creatures. Our left and right sides are not the same. One sided otoplasty is done commonly. Operative fees are generally related to the number of procedures being done and the time required to do them.Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate you and help you achieve your desired results.
