Are my ears way too close to my head? Should I get revision surgery? (Photos)

Question

I had otoplasty 13 days ago and I am not happy.My ears are way too close to my head like there is no space between my head and my ears.I told her that but i feel like she didnt listen.She says that when the stitches dissolve my ears going to stick out for half cm but still Im not happy with that either.Also, inside of one of my ear is looking weird and ugly. Should I undergo another surgery to fix the weird ear or just get a revision surgery for both of my ears?Also, will my ears stick out after a while?

Assuming you had surgery performed by a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon with vast experience in Otoplasty surgery-you have nothing to worry about.  Swelling and bruising following otoplasty surgery distorts numerous ear components, and makes it very difficult to imagine what your final outcome will be for at least 6 to 12 months.  If you are extremely concerned, arrange to see your surgeon who will give you a better idea as to how your post-operative healing is going-and from there discuss options.  Invariably it is a big mistake to undergo any form of revisional otoplasty surgery until at least 12 months has elapsed, since swelling can easily distort many auricular components.  To get exacting results-let the ears settle for a year and then reengage your surgeon to see if anything further needs to be done to help you achieve your goal.Best of luck to you!!

Thanks for your inquiry, elif18. Sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction on your otoplasty.
Based on your photos, I think your ears look good. You’re still healing so you might not see the final results until a few more weeks.
But if you’re not happy with how your ears look, you can go for revision surgery after six months. You can ask your current plastic surgeon to fix it, or you may want to look for reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon instead. It’s totally up to you since it’s your happiness and satisfaction that’s important.
