Hello! I am 5’8” and 140 lbs. I have previously had implants 371 cc mid and looking for a more understated look at this time in my life. They were too full for me! My BWD is 13.5 and 14.5. Would I be best suited to go with a low plus style this time so I am still filling my BWD? I am a 34a/b. I landed on a 240 mod natrelle with my surgeon and loved the look of the sizers but now I am nervous it is going to be too narrow!
Answer: Size I do not recommend use of sizers as they do not accurately demonstrate how the breast implants will look when actually placed into the body. I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon (American Board of Plastic Surgery). Ideally, this surgeon has also completed an accredited aesthetic fellowship (The Aesthetic Society).

Answer: Profile I would still go with the moderate or moderate plus profile because the low profile is very flat, and in most women, does not give the best shape.

Answer: Implant size Dear klee1983, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Mini lift with small implants Your breasts are widely separated and you have very little cleavage. I recommend a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Go the next size up from what you liked Hi there, I would advise you to go with what you liked when you tried the implants on with on caveat. Once the implant goes under your skin and muscle you will loose some of the projection and width due to the tissues covering it. Therefore I almost always recommend my patients go one size up. So for you, prob around 250-260cc to get the same look when it is all said and done. All the best
