With the slightest flecks of the pectoral muscles, the muscle and implant separates on both breasts but especially on one of them. Is this normal? Can it be easily fixed with revision? I have had no prior procedures or surgeries of any kind.

Answer: Revision Your pectoralis major muscle is compressing your implants and extruding them inferiorly and laterally. I recommend implant exchange with much smaller implants and possible pocket change to in front of the muscle. You may also need a breast lift. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Surgery This will be difficult to fix since your large implants have stretched and thinned your breast tissue. If you go down in size and do a lift, place the implants in front of the muscle, and use mesh, you might get some improvement. However, the implant edge will be more noticeable. Plus, you might be too thin for a lift if there is not much breast tissue behind the muscle. If you have donor fat, that could be added to that area for some coverage. No, this is not easily fixable because of the size of implants you have.
