4 months post op currently. I wanted to be a full C being a Full B before. My doc recommended 425 saline implants that I know now are too big (DD). I really want to downsize and get gel instead bc I have rippling. I won't be financially stable for this surgery for a few years. Would this be an easy procedure 2do if I wait or would breast pocket tightening be required to downsize? I am fine with the more natural breast look (not high up) let me know your thoughts so I can be saving appropriately!

Answer: Downsizing If the implant pocket is over expanded, and the downsizing would result in tissue laxity, it can get quite complex. Sometimes, you need to plicate the pocket, add Strattice to reduce ripples, change the implant, and do some form of mastopexy. Other times, it can be as simple as a implant exchange. You'll need an in-person evaluation to determine where you fall on the spectrum.

Answer: Is downsizing from 425 to 300cc an easy procedure even with thin tissues? In general downsizing a modest amount (less than 150 cc) will not result in sag, and although the pocket ( capsule) needs to be adjust slightly should be an easier recovery and no more time in surgery than the original augmentation. You do have some visible rippling when you bend over which is common with thin tissues. That would not likely get better unless you added a piece of acellular dermal matrix (ADM) which adds time and expense to the procedure. You have a nice shape, and you have reasonable goals.
