Cost factors vary significantly for a number of good reasons: Prices vary greatly because the surgery itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. My recommendation is to first find the most qualified surgeons where you want the surgery performed that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery you trust, then compare prices between them. See the below link on suggestions on how to find the most qualified plastic surgeon for your procedure. General Factors that influence the price of plastic surgery include:1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctor’s office? Geographical location also has a significant influence. RealSelf has average charges for most areas of the USA.2. Type of Anesthesia - local, IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, or an RN be used? 3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best and longest trained is most often a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery 4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - how difficult will your surgery be and how long it will take, etc. Will other complementary procedures also be also performed during the same surgery?
Thanks for the question. This change between every doctor, for example a usually put seasonal offers in easter week. For better advices is good for you to have a personal evaluation or send your photos to us. Kind regards
Hello and thank you for your question. In my practice, prices stay the same throughout the year and do not change based on the time of the year. It is very important that you thoroughly researchyour surgeon before committing to surgery. It is a good idea to research yoursurgeon's educational background, online reviews, before & after pictures, and speak with anyone who you may know who has had surgery with that surgeon.During your consultation, make sure that you don't feel rushed and make surethat you have adequate time with your surgeon and not just their patientcoordinator or nurses. If the majority of your consultation is spent withsomeone other than the surgeon, this is usually not a good sign. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified expert surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
The time of the year does not affect the price of the Abdominoplasty or any other surgical cosmetic procedure. Fees vary based on the complexity of the case, and of course experience of the Surgeon.
While the price of a tummy tuck does not vary at all throughout the year, in general terms, in general terms, you should schedule elective surgery at a time where your own personal schedule is quiet and less-stressful. You'll need time to rest & recuperate, and for post-op visits.
While some practices may advertise “special offers” at certain times during the year, this is not necessarily an advantage. When you’re undergoing a serious procedure that includes anaesthesia and any sort of invasive surgery, searching for the lowest price is not in your best interest. Before choosing a surgeon, you should research their credentials, experience and qualifications. Always choose a board certified or specialist plastic surgeon, and schedule a consultation to talk with them and make sure you are comfortable with them, as well as confident in their knowledge and expertise. Good luck!
Thank you for the question. You will find the best quality practices will not have differential pricing depending on the time of the year. When it comes to cost of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure ( quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find average costs of surgery listed on this website, and on individual plastic surgeon's websites as well.In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. ***Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. I hope this, and the attached link, helps. Best wishes.
The best time to undergo a tummy tuck is when it is best for you. Also consider when your family or friends are available for you during the acute recovery phase. I am not aware of any price variations which would be based on any specific time of the year.
For the better practices, there is little variance in either flow nor surgical fees from month to month. However, the key is to find an understanding surgeon who both understands your goals/objectives for the surgery and is willing to try to work with you financially to the extent that is possible. Surgeons are more likely to accommodate when a patient has clear expectations, a good attitude, and uncomplicated medical history/surgical plan.

I have to echo the statements of most of the other surgeons here. With a high BMI you carry a lot of your weight inside your abdomen or so called visceral fat. This fat along with your high BMI puts you at risk for many surgical complications. While surgery for medical reasons leaves su...
