How long do you have to wait to have Periodontal Surgery after Sculptra / Radiesse treatment?

I had my first Sculptra treatment 4/4/16 and then the second treatment the first week of June. So far I am doing well with the exception of 1 small lump close to my chin line. Both times Radise was also injected. I am scheduled to have gum flap surgery, a bone graft and sinus lift with a Periodontist in 2 days. Will this be ok or risk infections?

In my opinion, there should not be an increased risk of infection or any other increased risk of having periodontal surgery several weeks after a Sculptra and/or Radiesse treatment.

In the literature there is increased risk of infection and late onset reaction when having dental procedures within 2 weeks of fillers. I tell people to wait a month if you are doing any filler treatments near your dental treatments.  Best, Dr. Emer.

There should be no dental work for 2-3 weeks after injection, to lessen the chance of "seeding" the fresh filler with any bacteria that often temporarily leaks into the blood after denrtal surgery. This is less important with sculptra, a collagen stimulator, than a "true" fillers such as radiasse or restylane. Best of luck!
