The difference between Halo and the Blue Light treatment?

I would recommend consulting with a dermatologist to meet you skin needs.  Halo is a wonderful treatment for anti-aging and can help improve textual issues, but is not ideal to treat cancerous skin lesions or growths. 

These are completely different procedures, Halo is a laser for resurfacing, texture, pores etc and blue light is for antiaging but also treats skin cancers and precancers.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Halo is a wonderful new technology for treating pigmentation and textural skin concerns on the face as well as other body areas.  The dual technology laser energy is delivered based on depth of penetration and the 'density' or skin area covered.  Because of this I would not recommend Halo as a means to treat skin cancers or even precancers.  Blue Light and Levulan work, but you are correct in that it hurts and has some down time.  There are newer, more innovative ways to use Blue Light which are much more comfortable than the FDA approved method.  Ask your doctor.
