I am getting married July 5th. If I get surgery on May 29th, is that enough time to heal? I don't want to look ridiculous in my dress because I'm still too swollen. I don't want anything too large, just a full B or small C cup. I am an A cup now. I already bought my dress, so getting it fitted appropriately is a big concern. I'm thinking it may be better to wait at this point, but I would love to have breasts and feel more confident at my wedding. Thanks in advance!

Answer: Breast augmentation 5 weeks before wedding? Hello and thanks for your questions. With 5 full weeks for recovery, you should be nicely recovered prior to your nuptials. You will still be a bit swollen, but should be settled into near their final position and look quite natural, especially given that you are only increasing your size modestly.Best wishes!Daniel Brown, MD, FACSBoard Certified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic SurgeonsMember American Society of Plastic SurgeonsCastle Connolly Top DocReal Self Top 500

Answer: Breast Implants before Wedding Thanks for your question and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Although 5 weeks should be plenty of time to heal after a breast augmentation, there are always unforeseen complications. At this point I would see a few surgeon can either move up your date or wait until afterwards. Everything will most likely go smoothly. However, there is always a small chance that you could need revision surgery etc. which is the last stressor you need right before your big day! I would not risk it at this point. Best to consult with your surgeon. Best of Luck!
