Phentermine? Is it recommended to stop taking it before a mommy makeover?

I am currently taking phentermine ( lowest dose) and would like to know if I should stop taking it prior to my MM? How far in advance I should discontinue it's use? And why it's recommended to stop taking it?

Phentermine should be stopped before surgery. You should discuss any medications you are taking with your doctor prior to your surgery as sometimes instructions are different for each surgeon. Best wishes on your upcoming surgery.

Phentermine, which is a diet pill, should be stopped before any elective surgery. It can produce problems when a patient undergoes anesthesia. Most plastic surgeons would suggest stopping it 2 or more weeks before surgery.
