Hi.. thank you for the question and photos... Every board certified plastic surgeon have their indications... After 4 weeks pos-surgery cardiovascular activity is permitted.. with the use sunblock in the surgery area.
Generally speaking, I would say it's okay at this point to swim. However, you should start off leisurely and gradually increase intensity. Before you do swim, though, I suggest you ask your surgeon for their advice. Some surgeons prefer their patients to wait a little longer.
At about four weeks post-op, I allow my patient to get in the water as long as the incision is closed and completely healed. I would call your plastic surgeon's office to double check on their specific instructions. Enjoy your new bikini body!
Thanks for your question and photos. From what I can see, the incisions are healed and closed and you will be fine to go in a pool, but I would recommend visiting your surgeon to make sure. I tell my patients 6-8 weeks later, but the time frame varies for every patient. All the best,Dr. JSB
In my opinion, you shouldbe just fine to go swimming at this point in your recovery. However, I woulddouble-check with your surgeon just in case, as he is the only one who knows the full details of your surgery and recovery. Best regards.
In my own practice as soon as the incisions are healed patients are permitted to immerse themselves in water including a pool. Formal swimming, however, would not be permitted for three or four weeks
Hi,Thanks for your question. It is best to follow your Plastic Surgeon's advise as each surgeon has their own recommended post surgical plan. I generally allow swimming after one month, provided that incisions are well-healed and this may require an in-office visit for assessment. All the best
Hello floridagirl40,Thanks for your question. You should be safe to go swimming at 6 weeks after your tummy tuck. It is important to start slowly and avoid aggressive motions in the water to avoid damaging your surgeon's work.I would recommend that you ask your surgeon if they they it is ok to go swimming.Good luck,Dr. Shah
I have my patients wait 6 weeks before resuming any type of formal exercise to allow for adequate healing. However, you should check with your surgeon to be sure you are healed enough for swimming. Good luck!
From the photos you posted, it appears that it would be ok for you to go swimming in a pool as long as your incision is completely closed. I typically ask that my patients wait at least a month after surgery before entering any body of water depending on their healing progress. I definitely recommend asking your surgeon prior to doing anything. ac
Sorry to hear that you have been feeling regretful after your recent surgery. You may be pleased to know that its not uncommon to experience post operative "blues" and mums especially feel this way as they aren't used to putting themselves first and can feel guilty for not been able to do...
I have been prescribing post operative Arnica for 30 years. When used properly I believe it is of great benefit. However, it is a most delicate remedy. There can be nothing injested within 30 minutes of taking it. Before OR after. Also, you must avoid any strong odors...
Thanks for your question and I am sorry to hear about your tooth. Be sure to meet with your dentist and find out exactly what he or she recommends for you. If you need your dental work immediately then consider postponing your mommy makeover procedure until you are healed from your dental...
