Will Clear and Brilliant Perma cause facial hair? and does it target the hair?

The Permea piece of the Clear and Brilliant laser is ideal for pigmentation of the skin and for helping with sun damage and fine lines on the face, chest, and neck.  Since it has no "down" time you will see a gradual improvement in all of these elements over time.  It generally takes six treatments spaced two weeks apart to see this improvement.  It has no effect on hair growth or removal.  Best, Dr. Green

The Clear and Brilliant Permea laser does not affect hair growth. In addition to the laser, strict sun protection as well as products to diminish and prevent more pigmentation are important.

Clear and Brilliant does not target facial hair and does not cause an increase in facial hair. I usually avoid treating over the eyebrows since the laser tip will not make good contact with the skin in that area. Sometimes I will combine the Clear and Brilliant with a vascular laser to get better results in some patients. Good luck.

The Clear + Brilliant Permea treatment is a great choice for treating melasma. I usually recommend a series of treatments and combine it with a topical antioxidant and skin brighteners. The Clear + Brilliant Permea does not affect facial hair. It can be used near the eyebrows and over beards (in men). 

As protocol we do not run over the eyebrows, however treat around the areas. The laser's wavelength is 1927, and non-selectively targets pigment, improving skin texture and tone over a series of 3-6 sessions, depending on your skin condition and goals. This unique Permea system also allows better infusion of vitamin A, B, C and copper peptides further improving skin texture.
