Hi Emma3110, I suggest my patients wait ~4 weeks between Clear and Brilliant and IPL. I would certainly not recommend IPL and Clear and Brilliant on the same day. This would be extremely irritating to your skin and very unsafe. Both treatments inflict a controlled damage to the skin that requires time to heal before any subsequent treatment. Keep in mind that if hyperpigmentation (brown spots/sun spots) or redness is your main concern, you can get very effective lightening of these areas with the Clear and Brilliant Permea handpiece. I recommend Clear and Brilliant Permea to anyone that is hoping to lighten hyperpigmentation but also wants texture improvement (minimizing pore size, softer more radiant skin overall). There is minimal discomfort with Clear and Brilliant. I numb my patients with a topical numbing gel for 20 minutes before treatment. During the procedure, most people feel a slight "prickling" sensation. Towards the end of the treatment, your face will begin to feel very warm, similar to a sunburn. This sensation will last ~12-24 hours. Hope this helps!
