Doing and IPL treatment immediately followed by a Clear and Brilliant treatment will give enhanced results. A topical anaesthetic cream is used for the laser making it quite comfortable.
For many patients, depending upon Fitz skin type, the combination of IPL and Clear + Brilliant can be safely performed. Be sure to have these treatments performed by a provider who is experienced in the use of combination therapies with these two devices. I would recommend having your IPL done before the C+B treatment for best results. This is a safe and effective method to treat dyschromia as well as stimulate collagen.
IPL is often used to treat pigmentation as well as vascular problems and C&B can be used to address overall textural concerns, so they do make a good combination. These procedures can definitely be safely combined, but the key word is safely. Find an experienced provider to perform your treatment. The provider should thoroughly understand the risks and the physiology of both treatments.
Hi Emma3110,I suggest my patients wait ~4 weeks between Clear and Brilliant and IPL. I would certainly not recommend IPL and Clear and Brilliant on the same day. This would be extremely irritating to your skin and very unsafe. Both treatments inflict a controlled damage to the skin that requires time to heal before any subsequent treatment.Keep in mind that if hyperpigmentation (brown spots/sun spots) or redness is your main concern, you can get very effective lightening of these areas with the Clear and Brilliant Permea handpiece. I recommend Clear and Brilliant Permea to anyone that is hoping to lighten hyperpigmentation but also wants texture improvement (minimizing pore size, softer more radiant skin overall). There is minimal discomfort with Clear and Brilliant. I numb my patients with a topical numbing gel for 20 minutes before treatment. During the procedure, most people feel a slight "prickling" sensation. Towards the end of the treatment, your face will begin to feel very warm, similar to a sunburn. This sensation will last ~12-24 hours. Hope this helps!
Clear and Brilliant is versatile laser and in experienced hands, the treatment can safely be combined with other procedures such as IPL and microneedling.
This is a great combination if your specialist knows how to perform it. IPL or BBL can treat the upper layers of skin, and C and B treat the dermal layers. We often use this combination (IPL or IPL and C and B/ Fraxel). This combination treatment works to treat both wrinkles, fine lines, as well as pigmentation. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Yes C and B Permea is one of the best laser for low downtime improvement of the UPPER layer of the skin. Micro needling targets the dermal layer. In some cases both can be done at the same time for enhanced results. In fact with one treatment of C and B permea, RF micro needling and PRP, you m...
From your picture, your pores are enlarged and skin very oily. Clear and brilliant will not address these issues. You need to see a dermatologist who understands how to control the oil glands on the skin; otherwise your skin can become prone to acne and rosacea. An aggressive skincare program...
Thank you for your question. The only settings that can be adjusted on the Clear and Brilliant are Low, Medium, and High. The remainder of the settings are fixed at 140um/MTZ spot size. The Clear and Brilliant original is a 1440nm fractional diode while the Permea is a 1927nm. The newer Fra...
