Your left under-eye appears bruised. This is a common risk, when a cannula is not used in this area, and should resolve within a week. Either way, follow up with your doctor to re-assess.Good luck!
This is most likely due to swelling and bruising which is typical after tear trough injections. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
I would give it two weeks and if it doesnt settle down then i would consider reversal with hyaluronidase. If it worsens over the next few weeks see your physician to determine if this is just swelling or an inflammatory reaction. Best, Dr. Emer.
I doubt this is over corrected and we can’t assess for this until 2 or 3 weeks have passed. I would suggest this is a combination of swelling and bruising. In my experience, injections here with a microcanula leads to less complications. Best wishes. Dr. Aldo
Thank you for your question. From your photo, it appears your left eye is bruised. This is common with hyaluronic acid fillers, especially in the tear trough area as the skin is very thin and this should resolve in 1-2 weeks. You can help reduce the risk of bruising with the use of a cannula. I recommend having a follow up with your injector to address any concerns you may have. Best of Luck!
Bruising is a common side effect after filler and if espoecially common after injection into the tear trough. Apply ice a few times a day and take Arnica or apply vitamin K cream/ It should resolve in a week or so
Thanks for your question and sorry that you are having this concern following your Restylane injections. It appears from the photo that there may be a bruise here and I would recommend using ice to the area for a few days to see if it resolves. If it does not, I would return to your injector and let them evaluate the situation. And we always recommend that you have these injections performed in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons – the experts in these injections.
I agree that this looks primarily like bruising. Gentle application of ice packs periodically, as well as daily use of Arnica 1x cream, can need helpful. If your physician has a pulsed dye laser, they may be able to able to resolve this bruising a bit faster.
It is my opinion that fillers are best used to treat hollowed tear troughs and loss of volume in the area. With herniated fat pads, fillers may camouflage the problem but a lower blepharoplasty will address it directly. There are different approaches to treatment of the fat pad including s...
Thank for your question. If this filler has made you happy and looks great then don’t switch! I suggest maintaining your volume by keeping up with injections periodically. You should follow up with your injector every 4 to 6 months and see if it’s time for a maintenance injection. Cong...

Acne requires lifelong care. I’m glad your getting a good result, but be sure to follow up with your doctor periodically. The filler can last up to 1 year, but your result may be better than that based on your description. Good luck. Dr. Aldo
Hello. I too have seen this occur in some patients. Your options are to have the product removed, although sometimes the hyaluronidase treatment removes more than expected in the under eye area which can be a downfall. It certainly can be connected to your menses and can be worsened with e...
Hello Tea. I'm sorry to hear about your recent lip injection. Some individuals seem to run into this problem with certain fillers. It might have to do with how your body metabolizes hyaluronic acid. There's no guarantee, but perhaps switching to a different brand of filler might help to get a...
