Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. The tip is bulbous, so techniques are used to straighten the cartilage, creating a thinner, more defined tip. This will also retain support for the heavier side walls of your nasal tip so it continues to look natural. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.
Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. Addressing the shape of the nose (particularly the nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address your nose, and is particularly effective at addressing the tip size, shape, and definition! This truly a surgery of millimeters- and it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps!Dr. Donald GrovesAesthetic Plastic Surgeon
I would recommend a rhinoplasty. I would recommend finding an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified Plastic Surgeon with experience in rhinoplasty.
A rhinoplasty with slight dorsal reduction and tip refinement would achieve this. The chubby aspect is caused by prominent tip cartilages that need to be reduced and sutured to improve their shape. You should be able to obtain a nice nasal shape afterwards.
The shape of your tip can be modified with a rhinoplasty surgery. Because of thick tip skin and an already turned up tip, it is important that your surgery includes strong cartilage grafts from your septum to secure the tip position and projection, along with the other changes that need to be made to refine your tip. Other maneuvers may need to be addressed as well, depending on your physical examination.
You would benefit from a rhinoplasty. The tip cartilage needs to be refined and the fat debulked. You also need a slight increase of the angle between your nose and columella. You may also benefit from narrowing the bony cartilage vault as well.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Based on your photos, you appear to have an overall pleasing nasal appearance, so please only move forward with rhinoplasty surgery if you have severe dissatisfaction with the appearance of your nose. That said, if you wish to correct the appearance of your bulbous nasal tip, please consider meeting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists so you could see what might be best for you moving forward. Thank you and I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. In general, if nasal projection is preserved, it is possible to achieve a meaningful reduction in nasal width for a nose with your characteristics. This is achieved by: 1. Repositioning or reducing the thickness of the nasal bones: • This helps to control the width of the nasal bridge. • Ultrasonic instrumentation can assist in precisely reshaping and repositioning the bones for improved contour. 2. Reshaping the nasal tip cartilages: • The cartilages are refined to create a more slender appearance. • Often, it is also necessary to reduce the thickness of the soft tissue layers under the skin, which allows the skin to better reflect the cartilage reshaping and accentuate the change in shape. This comprehensive approach ensures a balanced and natural result while maintaining nasal projection.
Based on these photos you are a good candidate for full rhinoplasty. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, expert in rhinoplasty, will give you an opportunity to discuss details and possibly see 3D simulation of your projected result. Good luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. From the photos provided it appears as though there is slightly more fullness across the left nostril. This may be related to the photo quality. Nonetheless, I would advise waiting 12 months. This gives the tissues time to settle and the fluid to disperse. Continue with regular taping. Keep in...
Gravity brings all of your residual swelling to the bottom of your nose after rhinoplasty surgery, so columella stiffness is common. This may slowly resolve over the next 6 months. Based on your before and after photos, I believe you have a pleasing nasal appearance. I hope this helps!...
Based on your singular photo, it's difficult to see a sidewall bump at the bony cartilaginous junction. Since you appear to have thin skin, in general, irregularities have to rhinoplasty surgery tend to become more prominent as swelling goes down. I hope this is helpful and I wish you well...
