I had allergic reaction after and was treated with prednisone after. Now I am getting pain under my left breast . It fills like a vain or muscle from inside. ??? Should I be worried what can I do ??? My breast looks great. Had surgery done around the nipple.

I’m sorry for the adverse symptoms you are experiencing. Significantly more swelling and/or pain on one side is not typical. Contact your plastic surgeon promptly if you have severe pain not responding to medication, the incisions are showing signs of infection such as redness that spreads away from the incision to the adjacent breast skin and is exquisitely tender or if you develop fever and chills. Your plastic surgeon has intimate knowledge about the procedure performed and detailed familiarity about your potential complications and how to properly treat them. Thank you for your question. What you describe is a relatively common finding. Due to the pressure and acute fold of the crease at the bottom of the breast, the vein can get compressed and some even develop clot. This is very different from the "blood clot" of the leg you have heard about. It is generally self limiting and no treatment is necessary. As always, you check with your doctor to be sure.

There is a fairly common condition called thrombophlebitis which is basically an irritated vein. This can happen in the breast, particularly after surgery (referred to as "Mondor's Disease") and it tends to get better on its own. You should have your surgeon take a look.

A painful linear lump or bump under the breast following breast augmentation could be Mondor's disease which is inflammation of a normal vein.  I would see your plastic surgeon for an examination.  This is a self-limited inflammation which resolves and is usually treated with aspirin and warm soaks.
