Can I commence using Melanotan 2 now? I am 2 weeks post op after having BA.

Question

I have been using melanotan 2, for one year now. I am 2 weeks post op after having breast augmentations. Can I commence using melanotan 2 now? I was advised to stop 7 days before my procedure, as I did, but would like to resume to maintain my bronze colour. Obviously mindful not to expose scars and keep dosage minimal.

You should check with your surgeon but I believe it should be safe to resume that medication 2 weeks after breast augmentation surgery.

Thank you for your question.  Post operative instructions do vary from one plastic surgeon to another.  I advise my patients to avoid blood thinning medications for two weeks prior and two weeks following surgical procedures.  Best to discuss your medications with your plastic surgeon.  Good luck.
