I had Cool Sculpting done to my double chin about a month and a half ago. 2 weeks ago I started noticing flabby skin starting to develop. I'm worried this is a lasting side effect and that it might get worse with time. I am 31, and am not ready for a turkey neck! Can anyone tell me if this is a normal reaction to cool sculpting on the double chin , and if it goes away?

Answer: Skin Laxity under the Chin Hi Jennifer !The great thing about Coolsculpting is that that fat slowly flushes out so that the skin left behind has time to retract. I recommend doing a series of RadioFrequency treatments on the Neck after 3 months to achieve additional tightening. Combine RadioFrequency with a great neck cream like Nectifirm by Revision and you will be in good shape. Thanks for your question!

Answer: Submental Skin CoolSculpting allows the skin to contract slowly, which helps reduce any skin elasticity issues. It has now been FDA cleared that CoolSculpting of under the chin can improve the appearance of lax skin. I would recommend waiting the full amount of time before final results are determined. First round of treatment gives about 20-25% reduction and with a re-treatment, you may see more improvement.
