In some patients who choose large implants or who start out with very small breasts, it may seem like their implants sit up high initially because of the tight skin and swelling which creates a lot of fullness up top. At 5 days, you are waaaay too early to see the final results. It takes a few months for the skin and muscle (if you are under the muscle) to properly stretch out and allow your implant to descend. Be patient. Gravity always wins.
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. It is definitely too early to tell whether this is the final resting place for your implants. With aggressive massage, you may find that the implants do continue to descend over the next several months. Keep a close follow-up with your surgeon.
Do not worry. Implants are always high for several weeks if not a couple of months post-op. Your breasts look exactly how one would hope at this point.
You shouldn't worry as this is very common shortly after surgery, particularly for patients who have a smaller body frame and are tighter skinned. When implants are first inserted, they sit high up because your tissues are tight and gravity hasn't taken effect. Over time, natural tissue expansion occurs to allow the implants to fall into place. By this time, your breasts will have taken on a more natural contour, where the lower breasts become softer and rounder. Please wait at least four months for this to happen. This process tends to occur sooner in one breast than the other, so don't be alarmed if you find that your left drops before the right or vice versa. If your breasts remain this way and don't improve as you recover, please talk to your surgeon.
Thank you for your pictures. Thus far your results looks good. Your implants should settle a bit and the swelling will decrease a lot. These two events will produce a more natural shape that you want. This takes about 2-3 months.Dr. ES
They look great. At 5 days post-op, it's far too early to worry. Implants will sit high initially after surgery. They then take several weeks to months to drop. In that time, your skin will also stretch. If you are worried, you should see your PS.Best,
Hard to answer your question without photos and measurements. That being said, I doubt that 350 cc's will take a small B to a D. Best to try on implants at your next consultation to get a better sense of size. Best of luck.
There is no way to guarantee a particular bra size. Bra sizing varies greatly between bra manufacturers and a C in one bra will be a D in another. What matters more than the assigned bra size is the way the implant looks on you. The best option for your body and aesthetic goals can be determined...
Your implants will drop faster but there's a risk of displacement. That's why I tell my patients to wear a bra, and just wear a bandeau to help dropping. But, listen to your surgeon because they know the details of your surgery.
