Hello, I am 5'6 and approximately 170 pounds. My bra size is 32 I or 34 H. I am happy with my size and would not want to get a reduction. Would it be possible at my bra size to have a lift in the future? What type of options are available for large breast lifts? Thank you in advance!
Answer: The Bellesoma Method Thank you for you question, The Bellesoma Method is a current technique to lift and/or reduce breasts without using implants or the ugly vertical scars. The incisions are hidden around the areola and in the inframammary crease. The vertical incision has been completely eliminated. The areola incision heals almost invisibly due to the fact that there is hardly any tension on the closure. With this particular technique, ducts are preserved along with nerve supply maintaining nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. Because the breast is reshaped internally and is secured to your chest muscles, upper pole fullness is possible without an implant. Attached is a patient who underwent The Bellesoma Method. Please note that her tissue was used to create upper pole fullness and cleavage without any foreign materials (mesh, implants, etc). It is a proprietary technique that only surgeons that have been trained by me can perform. I hope this helps. Best wishes and kind regards, Dr. Gary Horndeski

Answer: Breast Lift Without Reduction Not Advisable. Hello,A large and heavy breast does not take well to a breast lift, which essentially relies on skin to hold up the tissue. Skin expands and will allow the tissue to just drop out again, sometimes in months. Your breasts will need to be reduced, which will have an overall slimming affect, and not be disproportionate. Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in breast surgery. Best of luck!

Answer: Lift with Implant I recommend a breast lift with implant. The implant selection should be based on a combination of your desired size, soft tissue dynamics, breast base diameter and skin elasticity. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Breast lift in larger breasts Yes, a breast lift is possible for patients with large breasts. An in person exam would be needed to determine the best technique, but guessing based on your bra size you would need a full mastopexy that involves Wise pattern skin markings ("anchor" type incision). When the breasts are very large, a small reduction along the outer or lowest portion of the breast may be required for optimal shape. It's really hard to give specific advice without any other information or photo. An in person exam would be the best way to get accurate advice that applies to you specifically. One other thing to note, if you have fullness off to the side of your chest, many patients opt to have liposuction here so that this area does not look too full once the weight of the breasts is no longer pulling on and flattening that area.
