I am 1 week post op breast lift without implant, my areola become oval and small and Im unhappy with the overall shape of my breasts. What are my options If that remain the same after 6 months? Thank you
Answer: Breast lift result Dear amalt,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 7 days post op. Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Results still not visible As you already know, you have to wait a few months for your breasts to recover and your final results to appear. If, however, your breasts still don’t look the way you’d like them to look, please return to your surgeon to discuss. A revision surgery and areolae reshaping can be performed.

Answer: Areola and breast shape after breast lift It would be helpful to see your pre-op pics to see what you had to start with as that will always affect the result that can be achieved as everyone's results will be different. It would also help to see different views of your breasts. Based on your pics, your areolas do look more oval than ideal. You can try to revise the shape to make it more circular but this will make their diameter smaller. The areolas also look a little close together which will affect the overall aesthetics of the breasts. They may have been a little close together pre-op so it would have been difficult to move them further apart. The overall shape of your breasts look acceptable from pics you have provided. They do lack upper pole fullness and cleavage but that is expected from just getting a lift alone and not getting implants as well. If your goal is to have more upper pole fullness, perkiness and cleavage you will have to consider implants as well (or fat grafting to the upper pole). Best wishes.

Answer: Breast lift It is still very early postop and things will change over the coming months. It will take 3-6 months before you can judge your result and I would not be concerned about the shape at the moment.
